Why Fire Protection Consulting?

One of the key motivators of establishing Willoughby Fire solutions was to continue to be problem solvers. We wanted to better the whole industry through assisting building owners, engineers and contractors with the knowledge that we have. Willoughby Fire understands has the hands on experience in installing, supervising, project managing, managing and designing fire protection and detection systems as well as teams throughout New Zealand and the United kingdom. This has enabled a wealth of knowledge and experience that both Aaron and Matthew use to assist in providing consulting advice that is of the highest level. This has not only been learnt through behind the desk but also out in the field.

Consulting Services

Our consultancy is based on expectations and results that are solutions based. Establishing what your requirements are and assisting you to achieve your requirements can vary between the type of consultancy that you require. Our certified experience allows us to provide consultancy advice across a number of areas. Some of these include feasibility studies, project concepts, budget pricing, tender document review, tender submission and drawing reviews. These assist in your decision making in a projects environment. yet that is not the only area where we give advice.

Existing Systems

We also give advice and prepare documentation for existing systems. This is to verify the compliance of systems where documentation may not be available.

As we are independently qualified persons, we have a vast knowledge of the building warrant of fitness process, procedures and requirements. Because of this, we can provide consultancy that gives clarity of what your fire protection systems capability actually is. We also outline the required routine testing and what is involved throughout the testing frequencies. This allows for budget planning and we can give advice in anticipated costings for significant maintenance items that will need to be completed for your specified systems to continue to be compliant.

As Willoughby Fire is Retrotec trained we can complete room integrity testing of your gaseous suppression protected areas and also give advice on maintenance of the gaseous suppression system and its components.

Specialists in high hazard, high risk and special hazards means we are always ensuring we are up to date with the latest standard releases, technical bulletins, FM & UL Data sheet updates as well as having close relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to provide alternative options and best fit for use solutions.

Willoughby Fire Solutions are also proficient in NZ, UK, NFPA and UL standards, including FM datasheets.

Being an independent company our advice has no ulterior motive. We care and understand that your people, your assets, and your business processes may have to be explained to us and that may be commercially sensitive information. We have no issue in signing non disclosure agreements.
