Massey University – Neil Waters Theatre

The Sir Neil Waters Building at Massey University’s campus had a significant extension increasing its floor size from 2482m2 to 4373m2. This additional space now provides five additional teaching spaces on the first floor and workspace to accomodate approx 110 staff and postgraduate students on the second floor. The building also houses three lecture theatres.

Our Solutions

Willoughby Fire Solutions provided a 3D fire sprinkler design that extended the existing sprinkler & hydrant systems into the new extension, including seismic loops where the new meets old building. Pipework was sized accordingly in conjunction with hydraulic calculations to ensure the existing water supply was sufficient without the need for a booster pump.
