Eastpack – Quarry Road

Eastpack quarry road in Te Puke is the largest fruit processing site in the southern hemisphere containing packhouse & cool storage facilities. The site also introduced in 2019 a world first fully automated cool store using robots and artificial intelligence to check, move and position pallets into racking that reach 14m in height.

Our Solutions

Willoughby Fire Solutions were engaged with consultation with the client to provide a compliant fire sprinkler system for the entire site, including rectifying the existing partial protected system in preparation for building consent and tender purposes.

Willoughby Fire provided conceptual design for the site where pre-approval of the design parameters were conducted with AON and included in the fire report to have a building consent approved where the system is a client initiated installation.

The final solution required installation of a new water supply consisting of a water storage tank, diesel booster pump, 5 x Sprinkler systems, and 18 x Pre-action systems where the site has cool storage, canopy storage and processing facilities.
